NVAA AT THE FLEMING MUSEUM
2025 Fall semester and 2026 Spring Semester.

Location: Fleming Museum, Burlington, VT
Deadline for submitting: submitting to the NVAA's upcoming show for the Fall '2025 and Spring 2026 semesters at the Fleming Museum is JULY 14. Submit your entries in a separate email with the subject line Fleming Show. Each artist may submit one piece. This is a juried show. Artists who are accepted will be notified as soon as selection has been made.
Drop off artwork: Artists who have been selected by the jury for the Fall show may drop off their work on August 14. 10 am to noon.
Drop off details: When you do drop off, please use the loading dock on the west side of the building. If you use the main parking lot, you will be cited because all the spaces in the lot are by permit only. All submitted work must be wire strung with D-ring hangers.
Meet and greet with the NVAA at the Fleming is scheduled for October 18th at 2pm.
Show dates: Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. Opening for the Fall show is September 2, 2025. More details coming.
Take down/pick up artwork: Date TBA 10 am to noon
Details: From the mid-1940s until the 1970s, the Northern Vermont Artists Association showed annually at the Fleming Museum, as perhaps some of our longtime members can attest. However, there are only 30 spaces at the Museum which means that there will be only 15 artists per semester, only one submission per artist, and artists cannot do both semesters.
THE CALL TO ARTISTS FROM THE FLEMING: GATHERING AND COMMUNITY.
We are looking for work that engages with themes of gathering and community, broadly
defined. We welcome submissions that take an imaginative approach to interpreting these
themes, whether through figural or abstract imagery, traditional or found materials, or
processes of gathering and assemblage. We also welcome submissions of two-dimensional work
in any media, including paintings, prints, reliefs, photomontages, fiber art, etc.
Our show at the Fleming starts in the Fall of 2025, so please get your best work that reflects "Gathering and Community" ready
